Ss Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Bath

Confirmation 2013

A busy holy and happy time away..

The Confirmands enjoyed Holy Mass at The University of Bath with Father Bill OSM and the students. It was good for them to see young people at University coming together to celebrate Mass without their parents in toe!!

A great feast of shared food followed and then a short trek to Downside for a wonderful tour of Downside Abbey by Dom Leo OSM and prayers at the shrine of St Oliver Plunkett - a good saint for our young Confirmands. It is known that St Oliver managed to confirm 48,000 people in his 4 years as Bishop before he was martyred.

Cake and talk about saints followed and then a lovely time of prayer with the monks at Vespers followed by more prayer in front of the Blessed Sacrament. A lovely day.
